Dashboard

Tech Stack

A dashboard is a visual screen that displays a hotel's key metrics, such as occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and pickup, in near real time, so managers can spot problems and opportunities without digging through reports.

In practice

Good dashboards answer a specific question per view, compare against a reference like last year or budget, and update automatically from source systems. A number without context, trend or target is decoration, not information.

Dashboards also fail silently. A metric stuck at zero more often means a broken data feed than a real collapse, so every serious dashboard needs a health indicator that confirms data is flowing. Reviewing definitions regularly keeps teams from arguing about whose number is right.
