A prompt is the instruction or question given to an AI model to produce a result. Prompt quality largely determines output quality, and reusable well-crafted prompts have become practical operational assets for hotel teams.
A useful prompt states the role, the task, the constraints and the format expected. Asking for a review response in the hotel's tone, under a length limit, addressing the specific complaint, produces far better drafts than a generic request to reply nicely.
Teams get leverage by standardizing prompts for recurring work, review responses, OTA content, email drafts, and treating them like templates that improve with iteration. The risk to manage is pasting confidential guest data into external tools without checking privacy terms.
