An LLM (Large Language Model) is an AI system trained on massive text datasets to understand and generate human language. LLMs power the chatbots, writing assistants and answer engines reshaping how travelers research and book hotels.
LLMs predict likely text from context, which makes them fluent at answering questions, summarizing reviews, drafting replies and translating. In hotel tech they sit behind guest messaging assistants, review response tools and the AI search experiences travelers increasingly consult.
Their weakness is confident fabrication, an LLM can state wrong facts fluently. Hotel applications mitigate this by grounding the model in verified property data and keeping humans in the loop for sensitive answers, such as prices, availability and legal policies.
