Generative AI is the class of AI systems that create new content, text, images, audio or video, from instructions. In hotels it drafts guest communication, marketing copy, review responses and translations at near-zero marginal cost.
The immediate wins are in writing-heavy tasks. Responding to every review in the guest's language, producing OTA descriptions, drafting newsletters and translating site content become minutes of editing rather than hours of writing.
Output quality requires human ownership. Generated text that no one reviews drifts into generic sameness and occasional factual error, and publishing it unedited is visible to guests and to search engines alike. The sustainable pattern is AI drafts, human judgment, published under human responsibility.
