Maintenance Management

Operations

Maintenance management in hotels is the systematic handling of repairs and preventive upkeep, tracking issues from report to resolution and scheduling recurring tasks, so equipment failures do not surprise guests or shorten asset life.

In practice

Software replaces the notebook and the hallway conversation. Any staff member reports an issue with photo and room number, the task routes to the right technician, and management sees open issues, response times and recurring problems per room or asset.

The bigger value is preventive. Scheduled checks of boilers, air conditioning and safety equipment cost little and avoid the expensive pattern where everything is discovered by a guest complaint. Rooms with repeating issues also become visible, informing renovation decisions with data.
