Voice Agent

AI & Automation

A voice agent is an AI system that answers phone calls in natural spoken language, handling hotel inquiries such as availability, directions and reservation changes without a human operator, and transferring complex calls to staff.

In practice

Hotels lose bookings to unanswered phones, especially outside office hours and during check-in rushes. A voice agent picks up instantly, speaks multiple languages and handles the repetitive majority of calls, while logging every conversation for review.

The design decisions are scope and escalation. Which intents the agent may resolve alone, which require transfer, and how gracefully it admits what it cannot do. A voice agent that traps callers in loops damages more goodwill than a busy signal ever did.
